The Name

 

“Spiritual Jimeneye” might look misspelled at first glance, and honestly, it was. But the moment I saw the misspelling, it felt right.

 

“Spirt” in "“Spiritual" isn’t just a twist on the word; it echoes how people in the South often say it, where the ‘i’ in “itual” softens and almost disappears. It carries that rooted, familiar sound I came to know growing up in Louisiana. “Jimeneye” blends the gem within us, the eye that sees and perceives, and the ‘I’ that awakens. Together, they form a name that symbolizes transformation, the moment when an accident becomes intention, and the imperfect shape of a word uncovers a deeper truth beneath it.”

Me!

​I am a 38/11 Gemini... Everything about me is in the form of 38, including my real name, "Donald." Ironically, my Marine unit was 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, aka 3/8! These numbers show up everywhere in my life, even in the greater city I reside. As much as I identify as a Gemini Man (May 28th), I am not your typical Gemini, and this is why I created this site!

I’m a designer, dad, a 3-time US Marine combat infantry veteran, and a lifelong creative who loves turning ideas into something real. Most of my inspiration comes from everyday life, like conversations, personal experiences, and the way spirit and intuition show up in unexpected moments. Creativity has always been my language, based on sketching a logo, building a vision, or writing about the things I’ve learned along the way.

These days, I’m focused on growing, healing, and sharing the parts of my journey that might help someone else. I write about identity, spirituality, purpose, and the lessons that come from being fully present in your own life. This space is simply me being me, my honesty, evolution, and commitment to leaving the world a little better than I found it.
